My life as a marathoner begins today...

So it's only 2 months away, and I really need to start getting down to business with my training. No more excuses for not working out. After a fabulous weekend in Stowe, I am ready to hit the ground running (ha) on my training and my diet, so that I am ready come April 19th.

I have already planned my runs out for the week, and I am going to see a bit of a jump in my weekly miles. I have a 5 mile run scheduled tonight along the Charles. Tomorrow, I'm going to start track speed workouts with the DF team, which should prove to be helpful in decreasing my time per mile. Wednesday, we have a DFMC meeting and will be learning all about nutrition for runners. Which is perfect given my new marathoner lifestyle. The rest of this week's runs will be light in anticipation of the Hyannis Half Marathon on Sunday. Hopefully, the meteorologist is wrong again with the prediction of wind, rain and snow hitting the Cape this week, or at least things clear up before the start of the race on Sunday morning. Fingers crossed!

My goal for this half marathon is to beat my PR of 2:18:22. From the looks of my training so far, I should be fine beating that time, but you never know what race day has in store for me. I'll update the blog as soon as I know the results.

My life for the next two months will consist of 3 thing: Running, Sleeping and Eating. Oh, and closing on my new condo. When is life supposed to slow down??

Touché Noah :P

We are both running Hyannis this weekend, and didn't want to go overkill on mileage this week (it's already going to be over Jack's suggestion....)
