New Year’s is all about resolutions. Get to the gym more. Save money. Travel somewhere new. Quit a bad habit. We’ve all made them, and, if you’re like me, broken them repeatedly. Last year, I tried to work a theme into my life instead of a resolution. So I decided to follow up on my successful 2009 with another life theme. Happiness. I will try to make everything I do this year help me to find happiness in all aspects of my life.
Now that the holidays are finally over, I am using this week to get back into a routine. I got the year started off right with a nice 4 mile run on Saturday, followed by a relax and renew yoga class at Baptiste last night. I forgot how hard it is to do yoga for an hour and a half in 95-100 degree temps. For those of you who haven’t experience heated yoga, I definitely recommend it. It makes my body AND mind happy! Needless to say, I will be working yoga back into my weekly routine. You know, amid all the running I’ll be doing!
I'll be heading to the gym tonight for hopefully a nice 5 mile run. January is always so difficult at the gym with all the people who made a resolution to get to the gym more. Such is life. I guess I’ll have to treadmill hop so I stay under the 30 min machine limit.
